When I was growing up, my family didn't have a lot of money. However, they always made sure to provide my siblings and I weekly allowances, even though they were small, because they were dedicated to helping us learn to manage money when we were young. I started working on my own when I was just 12 and had a paper route, and I saved every penny I earned. While I learned the rewards of saving money when I was young, it wasn't until I learned how to make wise investments when I was older that I realized how to really take advantage of my savings and use it to actually make me money.
